For 2008: Our Best Attendance Ever!
| |
| PHILOSOPHY | |
| GAC's Fine Arts & Crafts Fair (ACF) was conceived to be a venue for artists to display their work and an event which engages the community. The Fair is a human endeavor which relies on a vibrant and dedicated volunteer force to produce the event, aid exhibitors and flip the burgers! The jury is entrusted with the goal of selecting the best quality of diverse media so that the annual 8,000 visitors to GAC's ACF will recognize the priority placed on quality and our genuine spirit and good will. | |
| LOCATION | |
| Garrison Art Center and the Fair are located beside the beautiful Hudson River, 1 hour north of NYC at Garrison's Landing. Located west of the junction of Routes 9D and 403, the event is easily accessed by car. For rail visitors, the fairgrounds are a short stroll from Garrison Station, on the scenic Hudson Line to Poughkeepsie out of Grand Central. The Garrison Marina affords access to the Fair for boaters. The riverfront park at Garrison's Landing is unique in its beauty, with the grandeur of West Point on the opposite shore and views south to Bear Mountain and north to Storm King and Breakneck Ridge. GAC's reputation for quality and imaginative programming and productions, along with its 41 years of experience, make this Fine Arts and Crafts Fair a must for artists' participation. | |
