ACOUSTIC MUSIC SERIES
Collectors of fine art and craft, returning to the Garrison Art Center 40th Annual Fine Arts & Crafts Fair (ACF), will notice their foot tapping soon upon arrival!
Made possible through generous underwriting support from The Garrison, WHUD, and Hudson Valley Magazine, the Fair's 2009 Acoustic Music Series provides exciting music to accompany a day of great art and Hudson River views. GARRISON ART CENTER OPEN HOUSE
Want to know more about the Garrison Art Center? The Art Center will have a Membership and Information Tent through the weekend.
Also, exhibitions will be on display in the Gillete and Balter Galleries, and there will be demonstrations and displays through the Center's printmaking, ceramics and painting facilities.
MARITIME DISPLAYS
Maritime displays include hand-crafted wooden kayaks, available to order through new exhibitor Riverschoolboats.
The Beacon Sloop Club will be in with the Sloop Woody Guthrie providing free Hudson River rides throughout each day. Scenic Hudson is visiting to highlight their work to protect the natural beauty of our valley, and the unique character of our communities as well.
GREAT FOOD
This is the first year for our NEW Gourmet Food Court! With tables to sit at and picnic sites by the river, visitors to the Fair will find terrific options for lunch.
Many gourmet food artisans are in with their treats as well including: Simply Valley (fresh baguettes and Sprout Creek Cheeses), Pocono Kettle Korn, (with smoothies too), Go-Go Pops (unbelievable popsicles), Krazy for Kazu's (gourmet bottled dressings and sauces), Beth's Farm Kitchen (preserves), Dutch Desserts (fruit tarts), Hummingbird Ranch (honey, maple syrup and related products), Whitecliff Vineyards, Keegan Ales, and more!

The Moonlighters
North Stage: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Based around a core of harmonized vocal duets backed by warm acoustic instruments including Hawaiian lap steel guitar, ukulele, guitar and bass, the Moonlighters explore traditional and classic tunes with a unique, romantic approach. Their original songs encompass many styles of 20th Century jazz and pop: ragtime, swing, Hawaiian, country, blues, and even be-bop flavors can be found among their recordings. http://www.blissblood.com/
Eddie Deihl & Lou Pappas
South Stage: 10:30am - 1:30pm

"Living jazz legend Eddie Diehl's guitar work is beautifully accompanied by Lou Pappas on acoustic bass. This duo creates intimate, yet powerful musical, renditions of original work and timeless jazz standards."

Bill Carney's Jug Addicts
North Stage: 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Bill Carney's Brooklyn-based Jug Addicts have earned a reputation for exciting live shows. With a powerful, raucous approach, and unexpectedly elegant touches, the Jug Addicts draw upon a diverse jug band, old time, tin pan alley, early jazz and blues repertoire. http://www.myspace.com/jugaddicts
